Common questions
What is Tinlings?
Tinlings is a step counter game for iPhone. Tiny retired household robots build a life in an attic, and the game only moves forward with the steps you walk in real life.
How do my steps become game time?
Every real step is one minute for your robots, read from Apple Health. Long days are worth more: from 5,000 steps a day each step counts 1.5 times, from 8,000 twice and from 12,000 two and a half times.
Do I have to walk every day?
No. Banked time never expires and nothing is lost on a lazy day. Walking on consecutive days builds a small bonus; a missed day halves it.
Do I need the app open while walking?
No. Steps come from Apple Health, including days the app stayed closed. Just take your phone or watch with you.
What data does Tinlings use?
Only your step count, read from Apple Health. Tinlings never writes to Health. There is no account, no tracking and no ads, and your game is saved on your device.
Is Tinlings a fitness app?
No. It is a game. It makes no health promises and sets no goals you can fail.
When will Tinlings be available?
Tinlings is in testing and comes to iPhone first. It speaks English and German.
