Terms of use

Last updated: October 30, 2026

This is a courtesy translation. The German version is legally binding.

1. Scope

These terms apply to the Tinlings app by Maik Schmidt, MaiSolutions. The terms of the app store you got the app from also apply. For the Apple App Store, that is Apple's standard end user license agreement.

2. Use

You receive a simple, non-transferable right to use the app for private purposes. You may not modify, reverse engineer or resell it unless the law expressly allows it. The game, graphics and texts are protected by copyright.

3. Step data and saved game

The game needs read access to your step count. Without it, no game time is added. Your game is only saved on your device. Backups are your responsibility, and we cannot restore lost games.

4. Not a health service

Tinlings is a game, not a medical device. The app gives no health or training advice. When walking, watch your surroundings rather than your phone, and do not overdo it.

5. Changes and availability

We keep developing the app and may change content and game rules. There is no claim to the permanent availability of specific features. Your statutory rights for digital products remain unaffected.

6. Liability

We are liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health and under the German Product Liability Act. For slight negligence we are only liable for breaches of essential contractual duties, limited to foreseeable, typical damage.

7. Final provisions

German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. Mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence remain unaffected. If a provision is invalid, the others remain in effect.
